Adding DHCP Server Role in Windows Server 2008
1. Click Start and select Server Manager (At the top)
2. Click Next
3. Check DHCP Server Checkbox and click Next
4. Read it and click Next
5. Select the network connections that this DHCP server will use for servicing clients and click Next
6. The Parent Domain will be there by default, you will have to enter the Preferred DNS Server IPv4 Address or Alternate DNS Server IPv4 Address (Optional) and click Validate then click Next
7. If WINS server is require, select WINS is required for applications on this network or select WINS is not required for applications on this network and click OK
8. Click Add
9. Enter what is required and click OK
10. Review and Click Next
11. Select Disable or Enable if you have a client that can acquire IPv6 address and click Next
12. Click Skip.... and click Next
13. Review and click Install
14. Wait
15. Click Close
16. DHCP Server should appear here
