Create a system image
A system image is a copy of the drives required for Windows to run. It can also include additional drives. A system image can be used to restore your computer if your hard drive or computer ever stop working; however, you can't choose individual items to restore.
1. Click Start and select Control Panel
2. On Control Panel screen, click Back up your computer
2. On Control Panel screen, click Back up your computer
3. Click Create a system image
4. Select where to save the system image and click Next
5. Click Start backup
6. Wait for the system image to be created
7. Insert disc and click OK
