How to Configure/Change Virtual Memory Size
Virtual memory is also known as swap file or page file. Virtual memory is memory that is located on the hard drive. Virtual memory is use when there is not enough memory in RAM, so the virtual memory have to be use to satisfy the amount of memory need to run an application or program. Assigning virtual memory is good if you do not have much memory, but the recommendation is to have as much RAM as possible because accessing memory from the hard drive is slow then from RAM.

- Click Advanced tab then click Settings
3. Click Advanced tab then click Change
4. Click Custom size: radio button
5. Set the Initial size (MB): and Maximum size (MB:) and click Set. You can go with the suggested paging file size.

9. You might be ask to restart your computer for the setting to take effect.
Note: Depending on what you are doing, set the virtual memory big enough to satisfy your need, but do not over do it because when you set the virtual memory, the hard drive assign that amount of space for virtual memory usage only. Which mean it will cut into your storage space. It would be a wasted space if the computer don't use all the virtual memory. Also it is better to set the paging file on another hard drive if you have multiple hard drive.
