How to install Microsoft Exchange 2007
- Download Microsoft Exchange 2007 from this link http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=4c4bd2a3-5e50-42b0-8bbb-2cc9afe3216a&displaylang=en&Hash=x%2fcW4txxwchM8oOymvY2NArQaYfafNPXQs5kR%2bWz6M923xD5ABddf AFsKicNER73dATNl%2f8aJijN1ZW3eX%2f%2fDA%3d%3d
- Click on the Exchange File to extract file
- Click Setup file to run after extract file
- A screen appear showing the steps and what is require before Exchange can be install
- The gray out is the step that already installed
- Click on the next step after the gray out step and so on
Step 3: Install Microsoft Windows PowerShell
- Click Step 3: Install Microsoft Windows PowerShell
- The following message will appear To install Microsoft Windows PowerShell, please use the Add Features wizard in Server Manager or run the command ServerManagerCmd -i PowerShell from the command prompt
- If you decided to add through the Add Feature wizard in Server Manager, open Server Manager
- On the left hand side, look for Features
- Click it and on the right side click the Add Features link
- Add Features Wizard appear
- Scroll down to locate Windows PowerShell
- Check the box next to it
- Click Next
- Click Install and wait
- After installed, click Close
Step 4: Install Microsoft Windows Installer 4.5
- Click Step 4: Install Microsoft Windows Installer 4.5
- IE open up to Microsoft site to download the file. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942288
- Download the file that is correspond to your version of Windows
- Run the file
- Update will installed
- Restart Computer
Step 5: Install Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 SP2
- Click Step 5: Install Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 SP2
- In Exchange Server 2007 SP2 Setup screen, read the introduction and click Next
- Click I accept the terms in the license agreement radio button
- In Error reporting screen, select Yes or No and click Next
- In Installation Type screen, select Typical Exchange Server Installation or Custom Exchange Installation
- Typical Exchange Server Installation does not let you select which of the following server roles you want to install on this computer, while Custom Exchange Server Installation let you do that.
- Specify the path for the Exchange Server installation. If the default is where you want it to be install, click Next
- In Exchange Organization screen, specify the name for this Exchange organization or go with the default.
- In Client Settings screen, select Yes if you have client computer running Outlook 2003 and earlier or Entourage in your organization or No if you don't.
- The setup will then run a Readiness Checks
- The test result will show and take the necessary action to fix it
