Initializing the root folders to display
The likely cause of this is because one or more of your network mapped drive have been disconnected. When you try to open something or save something to the network drive that is being disconnected, the computer is constantly looking for the location of the disconnected network drive. That is why it takes time as it has to go through all the step before realizing that the network drive have been disconnected.
1. Click My Computer
2. Under Network Drives area, check all the mapped drive to make sure or check that none of them are listed as Disconnected Network Drive
3. If it say Disconnected Network Drive, right click and select Disconnect
4. Now remapped the drive
