Open a Port in Windows Firewall
1. Click Start > Control Panel
2. On Control Panel, select Windows Firewall
3. If Windows Firewall is not on the list, in the upper right click the drop down arrow next to View by: and select small icon

4. On the left side column, select Advanced settings
5. On Windows Firewall with Advanced Security, select Inbound Rules in the left column
6. On the right column under Action, click New Rule...
6. On the right column under Action, click New Rule...
7. Click Port radio button and click Next
8. Select which protocol this rule will apply to (TCP or UDP), select Specific local ports, type a port number (i.e. 80, 443, or 5000-5010)
9. Select Allow the connection and click Next
NOTE: If you want to block the port, you can select Block the connection
NOTE: If you want to block the port, you can select Block the connection
10. Unchecked or checked any box (Domain, Private, or public) to apply when the rule will take effect and click Next
11. Type a name for the rule (HTTP) in the name box and click Next
12. The rule just created appear as one of the Inbound Rule
