Automatically Running Program(s)/Application(s) at Startup
If there are applications or programs that you would like it to open every time after you log in you can have it start up automatically so that you do not have to click on it to run every time. Remember though that doing this can slow your log in time because the computer will take some time to load and run those programs and applications. It all depend on how many programs or applications you have to run automatically. There are multiple ways of doing this and I will show you 2 ways.
1st Method
- Select the shortcut icon of the program or application that you want to start at start up
- Press your left mouse, but do not release it
- Drag the icon to Start > Programs > Startup
- Release the mouse to place into the startup folder
2nd Method
- Click My Computer
- Click C Drive
- Click Documents and Settings folder
- Click the folder that have your name or any folder that you would like to have the program or application to start at startup
- Click Start Menu folder
- Click Programs folder
- Click Startup folder
- Now drag the icon into that folder
