USB Port on the Monitor is not working
For the USB ports whether it is on the side or on the back of the computer monitor, for those USB ports to become active you must connect a USB A to B device cable from the monitor to the computer itself. I know most of you though that by connecting just the VGA cable to the computer, the USB ports would be active. That is not the case.
The connector on the left is type A connector and on the right is a type B connector. Connect type B connector to the monitor and type A connector to the computer. When you plug both end in, the computer will recognize it as a new devices. After a message appear saying that the new devices have been install correctly and ready to use, connect a USB devices into the USB port on the monitor and the computer should be able to recognize the devices.
