There maybe other reason, but the above are usually the main one. So what do you do when your computer freezes, hang, or crashes?
Depending on what the problem is that is causing the computer to freeze, hung, or crash, for an example, the computer hung because a program or an application is not responding.
Example: Internet Explorer is not responding
- Hardware (incompatible or bad hardware)
- Operating System (Containing bugs)
- Driver (Bad driver with bugs or wrong driver install)
- Software (Containing bugs)
- Programs not responding
- Overheating
- CPU overload (Running too many programs/applications)

- Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE or right click on Taskbar and select Task Manager
- Click Task Manager
- In Task Manager, click Applications tab
- Select the Applications that is not responding
- Click End Task
- Internet Explorer should disappear from the task list
Example: If your computer freezes and you can't do anything
Example: You are doing something all of a sudden your computer restart by itself. This is what you call a computer crash.

- Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, if nothing happen go to step #2, if the windows security screen appear follow the instruction above.
- Push the power button until the computer is fully shutdown

- Right-click My Computer
- Select Properties
- Click Advanced tab
- In Startup and Recovery area, click Settings button
- In System failure area, unchecked Automatically restart
- Click OK
- Click OK

- Click Advanced tab
